After leaving college with 5 A levels, Vicki started her early career as a lab analyst but subsequently decided to go back in to education to pursue a career in prosthetics and orthotics, something she’d been interested in from a young age.
Victoria Batemanis a Lancashire lass born & bred in Blackburn.
Coming from a family of mechanical engineers, Vicki was keen to follow suit however her care and compassion combined with her attention to detail meant a career in Prosthetics and Orthotics ticked all the boxes.
Qualifying from Salford University in 2003 with a 1st class honours degree, Vicki set her stall out to be a high achiever in her chosen profession.
Starting her career working as an Orthotist in Middlesbrough and then working for most of her career as a prosthetist /orthotist at Lancashire teaching hospitals she has been in a unique position to deal with a wide caseload of patients often with complex pathology.
Vicki’s consideration and meticulousness make her an exceptional innovative clinician who has often been at the forefront of delivering the very latest technologies, this means that she is perfectly placed to treat the most complex amputees & also those who demand the highest level of performance from their limbs.
Having 3 young children twin boys and a girl, her spare time is somewhat limited but if there is an opportunity you’ll find Vicki riding an enduro bike, mountain bike or a snowboard.
