Project Description

Tracy is a Senior Exercise Specialist & Sports Massage Therapist with almost 27 years experience working in the NHS. With a vast amount of skills and experience gained during this time, Tracy has spent most of these years working within a rehabilitation and therapy service with people suffering from a wide range of health issues and disabilities.

Her role is to address the health, wellbeing and exercise needs of the people she works with by developing and implementing bespoke programmes that are also safe, fun and effective. She uses a wide range of functional activities along with specific strength, balance and flexibility exercises and her main goal is to ensure the sessions are fun! She has an excellent understanding of the wide range of factors that contribute to good health (and ill health) and the many dimensions these factors take, with a strong appreciation of the impact of disability and illness.

Tracy States: “I often see my role as an educator in both the prevention and treatment of problems and my enthusiastic and positive nature combined with my experience and qualifications enables me to be an excellent motivator.” Sessions are tailored to the individual to aid everything from weight loss, strength gains, core stability and injury rehabilitation. She is fully qualified in Cardiac Rehabilitation, Pulmonary Rehabilitation and also as specialist in treating people with long term conditions. She has a long list of qualifications in exercise and Rehabilitation and is also in her 3rd year of her physiotherapy degree. She is also a Tutor and examiner teaching personal trainers and gym instructors in specialist exercise & rehabilitation qualifications.

Tracy’s passion for supporting people with a wide range of health issues and mobility problems drove her to become a fully qualified Sports Massage Therapist. “Since I started on my sports massage journey, I have been truly amazed by the effects it can have on people both physically and psychologically…. I would have trained years ago if I knew how amazing it can be!” Sports massage is a unique treatment than can reduce muscle tension & pain, promote good posture & flexibility, restore mobility and importantly, help prevent injury. Restoring mobility to injured muscle tissue may boost performance and extend the overall life of your sporting interests.

Out of work, Tracy enjoys keeping fit and is an established rock climber with a husband, 2 step children and 4 dogs. A true ‘outdoorsy girl’ she can often be found wild camping somewhere remote or hanging off a cliff somewhere in France. If she manages to find any spare time, she does volunteer dog walking & assessing for stray dog rescue and loves being with her friends and family.
