Project Description


Greg started his professional education at UCLan on a BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy, giving him the opportunity to work with various UCLan sports teams, as well as Carlisle United youth team. After graduating, Greg worked in private practice in partnership with a local personal training company in Lytham St Annes, treating various sporting injuries as well as work based injuries.

Working with local sports clubs, Greg developed a close working relationship with the local rugby, football, and cricket teams but worked extensively within rugby union and league. Greg has worked with Fylde rugby club’s first team for the past five years during promotion and cup successes. His responsibilities included pitch side management of the first team and assessment and treatment of any injuries that occurred.

Having graduated from his degree, Greg progressed onto an MSc in Physiotherapy and has completed various professional training courses including (but not inclusive of); manual therapies, Kinesio taping & acupuncture.

Prior to Greg’s appointment at UCLan, he worked as a Sports Therapy Lecturer at University College Birmingham, specialising within the assessment and treatment of sporting injuries as well as a clinical educator within their sports injury clinic.
