Adam began his professional education at UCLan gaining a First Class BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy Degree. After graduating, Adam went on to work for Bradford City FC and Wharfedale RUFC as First Team Sports Therapist, before working with Myerscough College Football Academy and Manchester United Soccer Schools. During this time, Adam worked with both youth and senior players gaining valuable expertise in the treatment and rehabilitation of lower limb and spinal injuries.
Having graduated from his degree, Adam progressed onto a PgDip in Physiotherapy at the University of Huddersfield before working in the NHS and specializing in Musculoskeletal Injuries and post-surgical rehabilitation. At this time, Adam was an integral part of the upper limb, lower limb, spinal and chronic pain teams respectively. Having a special interest in lower limb injuries, Adam progressed to lower limb lead and helped to redesign the ACL rehabilitation protocol for Lancashire Teaching Hospitals. Adam also worked in a Private Sports Injury Clinic, treating a multitude of injuries, developing his interest in running and powerlifting related injuries.
Adam joined UCLan Physiotherapy Clinic in 2016 as Clinic Lead Physiotherapist and also lectures on the BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy Degree as a Clinical Educator teaching clinical assessment, treatment and rehabilitation.
Prior to Adam’s Physiotherapy Career he was a keen footballer and runner, representing England Under 18’s in six international matches. He continues to compete in many running events both locally and nationally.
